F.I.T stands for Focused Instruction Time. This specialized 45 minute block will occur daily. The students will be placed in a 4th grade classroom that will specialize in a particular subject skill that needs to be either covered more in depth or enriched upon. Students will typically stay in each F.I.T class for approximately 2 weeks and then they will be rotated to another classroom to focus on another learning target. F.I.T is fluid and changes as the needs of our students change. Any assignment completed in F.I.T will NOT be used for grading purposes. This extra time is a double dose of exposure to an important skill your child will need this year. This time is also when GT, RTI, or other needs are met if it applies to your child. Please check any teacher's Weebly on a weekly basis to know what your child will be focusing on for that time period.
